Meet the Team
Meet Dr. Tanner D.M.D.
Dr. Tanner decided on becoming a dentist because of his Grandpa. He was fortunate to have his Grandpa as his dentist and decided to follow in his footsteps at a young age. Dr. Tanner attended dental school at Midwestern University in Chicago, IL and later did a general practice residency at the University of Iowa and obtained further training with medically compromised patients. Though he enjoyed working in private practice and loved his time working with veteran’s at the Roseburg VA Health Care System, he loves serving Chariton and its surrounding areas.
The building was built in 1869 and was known as the Manning and Pennick Building. Besides the courthouse, it was the first set of brick buildings in the square. Looking back at the historical pictures, dentistry has been a popular business to have in this section of the building!

No complaints from me. Staff were very kind and encouraging. I have a rather intense anxiety about going to the dentist and have avoided doing so for many years. While my experience was not a walk in the park by any means that was not their fault. They did everything they could to put me at ease. They also were very helpful about explaining to me how my insurance benefits work and what my costs will be. The doctor was helpful at explaining what the plan for my future care is.
